  • The therapist will conduct a formal assessment and work with you to identify your needs and determine if music therapy will be beneficial.

    Assessments are typically 2 hours in length, completed in 2 sessions.

  • We provide one-on-one sessions in which a music therapist provides direct care to the client. Goal areas may compliment IEP goals, goals in other therapies or focus on other areas of need. We offer 30 minute and 50 minute sessions.

  • Group sessions are appropriate when addressing several clients with similar needs. The therapist will engage the group with experiences like music listening, instrument playing, singing, movement to music, and musical games developed specifically to support: Mood improvement, self-esteem, stress/anxiety reduction, reminiscence, communication, choice, exercise, and social interaction.

  • A music therapist will use a digital stethoscope to record your loved one’s heartbeat and pair it with special music as a legacy gift for family. This is a special program dedicated to preserving an individual’s heritage through comforting sound. Some families choose to play this song at the funeral/celebration of life, use the sound file in recordable books/stuffed animals, or simply have available to listen for a comforting reminder of loved ones lost.

  • Playing an instrument fosters creativity while developing fine-motor skills, discipline, leisure skills and self-esteem. Adaptive lessons are beneficial for children and adults. The music therapist can help set you up for success regardless of physical or cognitive needs.
